Many of the CD covers here fall into the industrial or heavy rock category. As a result, it may appear that a similar treatment is given to all CD cover assignments. This is not the case. The style of the cover, as well as the mood suggested by colors, composition, and type choices are dictated by the style of the music and the image the musicians wish to convey. A number of the CDs presented here were repeat commissions (always a good sign!) by the same record company that requested a consistent typeface and format. Whether the music is rock, pop, country, or hip hop, the connection 
between the look of the cover and the sound of the recording is a major consideration.
